SMART

"It was evident that there was a real sense of enjoyment from pupils in their learning. Teachers skilfully plan interesting, exciting work that is suitable for different pupils’ needs and abilities."

SMART Learning:

This is our maths calculations policy which looks at the methods children will be taught for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. You may find this useful when supporting your children at home. As always, please pop in and see us if you would like clarification or more information about any of the methods.

The children have their own version of the School Development Plan, this is discussed with them in assemblies and in each class. The current one has been designed by a Year 6 Pupil – click here.

Feedback and Presentation Guidelines. We have been looking at how we mark children’s work and involve them in feedback. We are also using peer and self- assessment as a way to involve children in their own learning (June 2013).

All children participate in an enrichment afternoon involving sport and extra curricular activities including Drama, Craft/Design, Environmental Walks, Music, Cookery, Life Saving and Tai Chi.
